After LaGrange scores on the first play from scrimmage with a flea-flicker, Kassidy Deans answers right back with a kickoff return for a touchdown. It gave Point a 7-6 lead, but the Skyhawks would eventually drop their home opener to the Panthers, 36-14.

Kaiden Harley flips to Ricky Washington, who scampered into the end zone from eight yards out to give Pace Academy a touchdown in the game against Westminster. Unfortunately, this proved to be the Knights’ only points as the Wildcats won, 17-7. This, coupled with Westminster’s defeat of Lovett the week before, gives the Wildcats the ‘Buckhead Backyard Brawl’ trophy in the round-robin between the three neighboring schools.

It’s the Pacers and Knicks in the East final, just like everyone thought. Over in the West, it’s Minnesota and OKC. What happened? We have ideas and are not afraid to give them to you. It’s a lively discussion, as we also talk the GHSA spring sports champions, the NFL schedule drop, and Point’s new head football coach. It’s all on the Last 3 Guys To Do a Podcast!

I worked the GHSA 2A and 4A Track and Field Championships from East Jackson HS in Commerce, GA. Track and Field isn’t my best sport, but I gave it a good try. Here’s the call as Andrew Stricklin of Marist passes Jacob Jacquot of Westminster and holds off Midtown’s Cameron Collier to win the 3,200-meter race.

Cooper Williams caps off an impressive drive with this score as Pace Academy defeated ML King, 17-7. He took snaps out of the Wildcat, caught sideline routs from Kaiden Harley, and pretty much did it all.

Point University gets on the scoreboard with this 24-yard touchdown catch from Antwuan Clayton to Jalen Hall, but the Skyhawks eventually dropped the contest to the #25 ranked Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson, 33-20.

Adryan Cole scores from four yards out as Pace Academy gets their first points of the game against Lovett, but the Lions won 34-7.

The 2024 high school football season is back, and Pace Academy defeated the Chamblee Bulldogs, 10-9. The lone TD was a 22yd throw from Brayden Doss to Cooper Williams. Williams caught the ball in the end zone as two Bulldog safeties were about to converge. It was just at the end of the first half, and here is the call.

On January 27, Wes Williams of Clayton State hit a three-pointer as time wound down to give the Lakers a 74-72 win over the USC-Aiken Pacers. The Pacers were ranked #18 at the time, and the upset should give the Lakers a shot in the arm. I was filling in for Todd Corden, the normal voice of the Lakers who was feeling under the weather. Here’s my call of the finale.

Terrence Kiel does it again versus Mt. Zion of Jonesboro. He had two touchdowns, a 96-yard interception return, and this, a 43 scamper. His form isn’t perfect, but you can see why he is an electrifying athlete.

Texas A&M commit Terrence Kiel reels in a Maddox Crawford pass as Pace Academy shuts out Woodland (Stockbridge), 37-0.
